Rebuilding for new Unity version and more.

Its been awhile yesterday I worked a bit on the game and improvements.
An big issue was and is that I had to rework some stuff because of new Unity updates.

The first demo level is working its not perfect yet, but it covers the main gameplay.

The potions will give the game an interesting twist.  You have to use it wisely and got
limited turns;)

Take care more updates soon. Hopefully I can release the demo level soon.

Beta plans and future.

Its been awhile since wrote an update about Master of PotionZ.

I put the game on hold for awhile. I got alot of expectation and plan.
It didn't worked out as expected so far.

I will release an beta level soon and will try to improve the game overall.
I think i need to rework a lot and that will take more time.

Next Level or Room

Been working for a while on idea for an new map or level or room.
The game is still in development. I just trying to finish right now Quarths first.

Progress

I got the first part of the map gen almost done. Soon i will starting to add the crafting and build more levels.

The artist is working on new art. I would love to add that soon too.
Planned are 3 more themes.

I got some ideas to release it on the apple watch too. It would fit in with the
res we will see...

Just so busy with an new part time job. The project is still in work i trying to finish it soon.

Some art updates will coming soon. I am not sure if will release it as an mobile app. I want to leave the mobile games soon.

Rework, DemoLevel and MapGen

Reworked alot so far. Progress is going slow and steady.

I harding the position of each position object on the grid.
Just to handling all easier.

Some days ago Unity released an new tutorial about Roguelike games.
They had an simple map gen too etc.

I finally decided to write my own. I need an custom my game is really different from an normal Roguelike.

It ended up so far more like an puzzle game. I dont know why i love so much traps and secrets.

First DemoLevel is done got alot of good feedback from the first versions.

Feature Cut and Demo Level Part II and Potions

The demo level went good i keep working on it and some friends tested it.
I got good feedback and need to improve my Level Design overall.

Working on some seeking. Like homings or following arrows.
I think i will cut the feature and more. Maybe in an update.

I think that the Target system works perfect.
I hope i can improve it.














Each potion can be use in three different ways. For Example potion invulnerability each hit etc wont kill you and you will heal, some traps can kill you, but it will reset your position and give you some turns back.

Demo Level

An friend of mine Stan the man suggested to build an Demo Level.
Finally i have done it and found stuff thats not enough flexible to build complex
Levels.

The game is so far a real challenge for the player and will be have alot of secrets to unlock;)

Object Motion Track and More

Finally got OMT working with some help.  The Plugin can record, play, save waypoints and more.

I wanted to add an instruction mode and replay mode. Finally its possible.
Buying it was worth every penny. I am thinking about an Rewind feature. Not sure if it will work out i need to record then the animation state too.

Inventory System more fixes

The game is right now playable. I started around 5-6 months ago with tuts on an
inventory system. Right now its the third version and i am using now a plugin base on the old tut.

Overall i am not satisfied. Its was stupid to put an complex system for an simple idea. Project management was not my strength.

An small idea endup in an complex game. Procedural gen maybe gets in.

There are some plugins like ProD etc. somehow its too complex and i dont know if i can get it working with my game.

I am planning to release an PC version too.

got working stacking for potions and working on the potions overall.

Been awhile

Not the best start but i keep working on game. I still hope i can reach my target deadline end Feb for the release but need more content and some new themes.

Its been a hard developing so far. Its almost impossible to finish this game alone.
I really ambitions with features and gameplay and that cost me more time then expected.
